I've not felt motivated to blog much lately. Perhaps that's the normal ebb and flow of blogging energy, or maybe I'm just more interested in other forms of reaching out beyond my preaching circles these days.
I have, however, had some very rich encounters this summer that I hope to write about more -- in Guatemala with our youth group, seeing U2 in the driving rain, and co-presenting with Chris Scharen at the Association of Lutheran Church Musicians' conference in Seattle. Not to mention a celebration of my parents' 50th anniversary that put me in mind of Babette's Feast. All in all, a very rich summer.
Those of you who DO actually read this blog from time to time, please let me know that you do. It's always encouraging to hear that someone found a lectionary post or book commentary helpful.
